Can the VGEN SSD last long in long term use, and what are its advantages and disadvantages?

I've been using vgen products for quite a long time, starting from SD Cards, RAM, to SSDs recently. I focus this story on my experience using the VGEN SSD.

I installed VGen SSD units on many computers (maybe around 10 computers or more) because of cost considerations (of course, VGen SSDs are quite cheap, although not the cheapest) and the availability of aftersales in my city. All users are quite happy after getting a hard disk upgrade. The computer used to be slow to load, but now it can be used immediately after turning it on, which is extraordinary.

Notes on the use of the SSD that I installed

1. User usage: office/student, only used for administrative tasks, light college assignments such as papers/presentations. Some use it for light photo/video editing.

2. SSD designation: OS and applications. I relocated all files that did not require SSD performance such as downloaded files, documents and other user data which were usually on disk C to the hard disk. So most SSDs are still quite empty even after being used for a long time

3. Final TBW before warranty: well, due to fairly light usage, all units are still under 10TBW

4. Duration of use: There is one SSD that is 3 years old, but its performance is very slow, health has entered the 40% range. Most of the SSDs that I guarantee are under one or two years old

The advantages of VGEN SSDs and SSDs in general include:

1. Speed: SSDs usually have higher data transfer speeds compared to HDDs (Hard Disk Drives), making them ideal for speeding up the process of booting the system, opening applications, and transferring files.

2. Resistance to shock and vibration: Because SSDs do not have rotating mechanical parts like HDDs, they are more resistant to damage from shock and vibration.

3. Better durability: SSDs tend to have a longer lifespan than HDDs because there are no mechanical components that are susceptible to wear.

However, there are also some disadvantages to be aware of:

1. Price: SSDs are usually more expensive per gigabyte compared to HDDs. Although SSD prices have dropped significantly in recent years, they are still more expensive than HDDs of the same storage capacity.

2. Limited write cycles: Each memory cell in an SSD has a limited number of write cycles before it begins to experience performance degradation. However, the latest SSD technology has overcome this problem by increasing lifespan and durability.

3. Limited capacity: Although SSD capacities have increased over time, they generally still have more limited storage capacity compared to HDDs at the same price.

To ensure reliability and optimal performance over long-term use, it is important to choose an SSD from a trusted brand, such as VGEN, and follow best practices in its maintenance and use. Always make sure to back up data regularly and avoid abusing the SSD with excessive use or extreme environmental temperatures.
